Online Meetings:
Here, you can find people who care as much about writing as you do. They’ve felt the same trepidation when staring down a half-finished manuscript. They, too, have considered vanishing into the woods when their mom read that spicy scene. When you triumph, we’ll know the grit and skill it took to do so. When the words don’t go, we’ll tell you what helps when that happens to us. Then some kind soul will suggest you prioritize baked goods, maybe take a nap, and then head to the bookstore. And you know what? That person is never wrong.
The meeting agenda:
Our writing: Each attendee is encouraged to discuss their projects, including their triumphs and challenges. This is a venue where we might ask for help and offer support.
PopFic Collective updates: Upcoming events or projects
Discussion topics: Writing-related topics will be emailed out to attendees prior to each meeting. These range from craft to marketing to community involvement. These discussions are to let us share our knowledge, consider our opinions and those of our peers, and remain current in discussions of writing theory and the impact of fiction on society.
The meeting schedule:
First Sunday of each month at 10 a.m. Pacific/1 p.m. Eastern
Second Sunday of each month at 2 p.m. Pacific/5 p.m. Eastern
Third Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. Pacific/8:30 p.m. Eastern
How do you attend the meetings?
If you’re a PopFic Collective member, you have access to our discord and will be sent links to the meetings. If you’re interested in becoming a member of the PopFic Collective, please fill out our membership information form. We’ll respond as soon as we can escape our day jobs for a minute. And tear ourselves away from our writing. And our reading. Just one more chapter. It… it might be a minute. We’re sorry. We’re trying.
If you haven’t yet decided whether you’d like to be a member, but you’d like to check out a meeting, please reach us at popficcollective@gmail.com.
