• Sarah Burton

    Sarah Burton (she/her) is a 2024 graduate of Emerson College's Popular Fiction Writing and Publishing MFA program. She served as EIC of Emerson popfic publication Page Turner Magazine in the 2023-2024 academic year. After graduation, she founded The PopFic Collective.

    Sarah adores all genres. She’s lives half in books, though reality is cruel enough to break in and insist she go to work and do laundry. She doesn’t have hobbies so much as a series of fixations, a horror of boredom, and never enough time.

    Her current projects include revising her most recent fantasy manuscript, coordinating events, comms, and updates for The PopFic Collective, and neglecting her author's website. She should post on social media more, but she probably won’t.

  • Inanna Carter

    Currently living in PA, Inanna is a freelance writer and editor, and an aspiring literary agent. She’s received two bachelor's degrees from Kutztown University and is working on her MFA at Emerson College. She has multiple publications under her belt, including a poem and a few short stories. When she’s not working to give queer and BIPOC characters voices through her work, she’s romancing (of course!) video game characters, sipping on taro boba tea, attempting to crochet, or trying to cuddle her two cats.

  • E.M. Chapel

    E.M. Chapel is an author and educator based in Seattle. Her approach to both teaching and writing is deeply rooted in play and exploration, which resonates through her work.

    Chapel is the author of The Weight of Silver and whose short fiction can be found in A Thin Slice of Anxiety.

    Growing up on the Colorado Front Range, she has always drawn inspiration from the natural world, infusing her writing with the magic of nature. A passionate advocate for self-discovery, play, and empowerment through literature, E.M. Chapel continues to inspire her students and readers alike to explore the magic that is reading.

  • Sierra Grazia

    Sierra Grazia is a writer based in New Jersey. She is a graduate of Emerson College's popular fiction writing and publishing MFA program. Her undergraduate degree from Ithaca College was in creative writing with a double minor in comparative literature and writing for film, television, and emerging media. She was a member of the women’s cross country and track & field teams while at Ithaca College. Sierra currently works as a marketing manager at an independent publishing company in New York City and enjoys reading, hiking, and playing with her two cats in her free time.

    Sarah EA Hart is an Autistic and disabled writer and freelance editor who loves examining the underbelly of society and looking for the cracks of light under which forgotten people flourish. In her “spare” time, she supports autistic children. She lives in Virginia with her husband and their four cats.   • Katherine P.F. Holmes

    EQUITY & BELONGING MANAGER and EDITOR

    Katherine P. F. Holmes is a fiction writer and English teacher. She has completed two summer fiction workshops at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and is currently earning her MFA in Fiction at Emerson College, where she teaches undergraduate composition. She writes speculative fiction, literary fiction, and classical adaptations, and has had fourteen works published in or forthcoming in magazines such as CALYX, Page Turner Magazine, and Wellesley Weston. She lives in Boston with her seashell collection and slowly dying succulents.

  • Savannah Jade

    Savannah Jade (she/her) is a queer, multiracial writer from California, an English and Psychology teacher, and a current MFA candidate at Emerson College. Providing safe and inclusive spaces for community development is at the forefront of all she does. She has published a volume of poetry, and her other works have appeared in Querencia Press, Moss Puppy Mag, & Page Turner Magazine. When she’s not writing or reminding her dog, Koda, that he’s a good boy, Savannah spends her time hiking, paddling, and studying evolutionary psychology.

  • Clarissa Janeen

    She has a BFA in Creative Writing with a minor in Illustration from California Baptist University and MFA in Popular Fiction Writing and Publishing from Emerson College. Her writing and illustration have been published across a handful of journals and magazines, including Page Turner Magazine, Alethia, and The Dazed Starling. She is the illustrator of the picture book The Squirrel and the Moon (2023).

    Her most recent published work includes short story "The Little Black Salamander" which was the runner-up in Page Turner Magazine's Fantasy Contest: Untimely Portal. Her short story "The Begonia Mark", her narrative poem "Resistance of the Fae", and her article "Avoiding Racism in Fantasy Races" were also published in Page Turner Magazine Issue 4.

    Sydney Landon (she/her) is a young adult fantasy writer based in Southwest Michigan. She is a graduate of Emerson College's Popular Fiction Writing & Publishing MFA program as well as Michigan State University's Professional Writing BA program. By day she works in digital marketing, and by night she spends her free time working on her current manuscript.

    Sophia Laughlin

    Sophia Laughlin was born and raised in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. She holds an MFA in Popular Fiction Writing and Publishing from Emerson College, and won Emerson’s prestigious ‘23-’24 Popular Fiction Thesis Award for her novel The Gates of Horn. Her horror flash fiction, “The Salesman,” appears in Page Turner Magazine. When she’s not funneling her creative energy into crafting epic fantasy worlds and darkly engrossing gothic tales, she’s giving her dog TED Talks on Ancient Rome and planning her D&D group’s next grand adventure.     Amanda J. Marshall (she/her) resides in Northern New York and is a current student in Emerson's MFA Popular Fiction Writing and Publishing program. Her work has been published in Page Turner Magazine and The Black River Review, where she was the 2022 winner of the North Country Writers contest. When not reading or writing you will find her by the lake or in the Adirondack mountains.

  • Ember-Reece Richardson

    Ember Richardson (he/they) is a writer, through and through. He has finished a young adult science fiction novel and currently drafting his second.

    Ember began writing as part of his mission to create compelling conversations to foster a kinder, more equitable society. As a deaf, disabled, transgender individual, he knows firsthand how stories can change lives when people see themselves represented in the media.

  • Susanne Salehi

    Susanne Salehi (she/they) is a queer Iranian American writer, editor, and 2025 Lambda Literary fellow. Their partner and cats are the loves of their life and they live in the South, which you can pry from their humid, sweaty hands (please don't). Currently finishing their MFA at Emerson College and writing their first novel, they’re constantly distracted by gardening, reading, cross stitching, doing puzzles, collecting rocks, or accumulating silly tattoos—Frog & Toad and the screaming possum are their favs.

    Susanne’s short story “Kindness” was recently published in By Her Sword: A Sapphic Fantasy Romance Anthology (released 6/3/25). They’re also an upcoming fellow for the 2025 Lambda Literary Writer's Retreat for Emerging LGBTQ+ Voices
